From Kate Walden: Mattie's husband, Tom, and several others from around Marble bought new Model T's and went to St Louis to pick them up. Someone drove Tom's because he couldn't drive. Kate's dad tried to teach him but gave up. He finally learned to drive. One day, Kate and her dad were riding with them on a trip back from Huntsville. Aunt Matt would say, 'Tom, we have to stop', but he wouldn't say anything and just kept driving. After several more times of trying to get him to stop, with no results, she said, 'Tom, Stop! I have to pee!'. He stopped.
