1870 McDonald Co., Missouri census has his birth place as Arkansas - I'm going with AR until proven differently.

1910, when his mother died, he was living in Idaho Co., ID (as per Glenda Mitchell Dec 2002)

Had a note that his name or part of it was J.Thompson - don't have proof yet

According to a note received by Sharron Elrod in 1973, from Maude Kirby, Martin had one daughter. He was a "very extra barber" and he was blond. Martin was Maude Kirby's uncle. Maude said that Martin had been dead several years. Maude did not know if Mart's wife and daughter are still living as Maud's family moved away.
