About Martin Eilerd Rah
Born in Germany, came to US in 1900. He had bought and won some type of lottery. Came home and told wife to "Pack, as we're going to America". They had a daughter Anna, 2 years old and a baby Fred. They had 9 more children after arrival in US.
They farmed in Lyon county, then moved to the Crookston area. Later moved to Milwaukee, WI, and he was a day laborer there. They spent most summers with son, Dow and family.
