About Martin Gottlieb Rapp
According to his grandson John August Crutti, Martin Rapp was President of the Deutsches Haus in 1950-51. He died soon after that. But according to this website (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=33933531), Martin died in 1946. In 1945 New Orleans City Directory, he's listed as "Martin G. Rapp," painter, living at 1674 N. Gayoso, but is also listed under the name "Gotlieb Rapp" as president of Deutsches Haus.
