Martin Rutza of Flensburg passed away Sunday, July 11, 1915, at St Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, Morrison County, Minnesota, where he had been confined for several days. The deceased was 80 years of age. He was a pioneer resident of this area and is survived by a wife (Susanna Barbara Szypryt or Szyprith), both born in Poland, and several grown children. The funeral was held at the Flensburg Church Tuesday (July 13) morning with burial in the (original) church cemetery.

Martin Rutz of this place died Sunday morning. The deceased was 80 years of age. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Catholic church of Flensburg.
