Martin H. Weaver
Martin H. Weaver, 88, of Ephrata, formerly of Lebanon County, died Saturday, April 23rd in the Ephrata Community Hospital following a brief illness. He is the husband of Ruth Gehman Weaver. The couple was married 57 years this past March 20th. Born in Bowmansville, he was the son of the late Martin M. and Ellen Horning Weaver. A retired dairy farmer, he was a member of the Martindale (Brick) Mennonite Church and had served as a volunteer for Christian Aid Ministries.
He is also survived by 2 sons, Martin Weaver of Wrightsville, husband of Anna Allgyer Weaver and Lloyd, husband of Marilyn Zook Weaver, Darby, Montana; 4 daughters, Martha, wife of John Auker, Denver, Mary, wife of Richard Brubaker, Myerstown, Margaret, wife of William Gall, Millersville and Ruth Ann, wife of Kenneth Freed, Rebersburg, PA; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Weaver, Lititz and 2 sisters, Hettie Wenger, Ephrata and Lizzie Kreider, Newmanstown. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Isaac and Daniel Weaver.
Funeral services Thursday, April 28th at 10:00 AM at the Martindale (Brick) Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Martindale, PA with Bishop Earl Sensenig and ministers Robert L. Trupe, Kenneth Freed and David Sensenig officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to services Thursday.
