MOUNDRIDGE — Marvin E. Voth, 88, carpenter, cabinet maker and farmer, died Sunday (Sept. 10, 2006) at memorial Home in Moundridge.
He was born Dec. 2, 1917, to David J. and Katie (Dirks) Voth in Reno County near Buhler. He married Edna B. Krehbiel on April 26, 1940, in Moundridge. She preceded him in death on April 8, 1996. He married Grace Goering on Aug. 30, 1997. She survives of Moundridge.
He was a longtime area resident and graduated from Buhler High School in 1936. He was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge.
Other survivors include: sons, Kerwin K. Voth of Newton and Robert D. Voth of Hutchinson; daughters, Marjean M. Cox of Lenexa and Jeanette "Jo" Miller of Newton; a stepsons, Ivan Goering of Sedgwick; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Buller of Fremont, Calif.; a brother, Leslie Voth of Argyle, Texas; a sister, Mildred Caruthers of Frankfort, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by: a son, Donald D. Voth; a brother, Wilbur Voth; a sister, Adriena Regier; a stepson, Don Goering; and a granddaughter, Sheli Voth.
Funeral service was Thursday at Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge with Pastors Floyd Born and Gail Graber officiating.
Burial was Eden Church Cemetery in rural Moundridge.
Memorials have been established with Eden Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home, 115 E. Cole, Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
