<p>After the death of her father John Whiting 2nd was named by the courts as her guardian.</p><p> </p><p>Oct. 10, 1838 she, with the assistance of H.K.W. Allen her future husband, auctioned off her share of the family farm. This consisted of 6+ acres to H. & Barton Draper, 8+ acres to Nelson Follett and 1 pew from the Baptist Meeting House to John Fuller.</p><p> </p><p>1910 was living at the old homestead with the family of Albert L. Allen.</p><p>At her death had 36 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.</p><p> </p><p>Her obituary reads " She was a women of a cheerful spirit, and so long as she could do any work, she was doing something for the people around her. She was a true mother to all the children among her descendants."</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
