About Mary Elizabeth Baumgartner

Mrs. Mary Baumgartner, 80, a resident of this city until ten years ago when she went to Waterloo to make her home with her daughter Mrs. M. E. Wall, died at the home of her daughter Sunday evening.
Mary Gaede was born Aug. 3rd 1859 in Germany. She came to this country at the age of nine years and settled with her parents in Illinois. Four years later they moved to Bremer county. She was married to Andrew Baumgartner on Nov. 29th, 1877 at Waverly. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. R. E. Tibbitts of Sumner, Mrs. M. E. Wall, of Waterloo, Mrs. Lou Regalia of Washington, D.C., and one son, Walter of Albert Lea, Minn. Her husband and two sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran church in Sumner. Rev. C. J. Mardorf officiated and burial was made in the cemetery near Sumner.
