About Mary Agnes Bazonski

Mary A. Bazonski 1930 - 2012 DALTON Mary Agnes Bazonski, 82, formerly of East Street, died Friday, July 6, 2012, at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility. Born in Dalton on March 6, 1930, a daughter of James J. and Julia Hart Duffy, she was a graduate of Dalton High School. She had been a sales clerk at the former Berkshire Hills Shop and at K's Coats. Mrs. Bazonski was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. She had at one time been a member of the Irish-American Club. Mrs. Bazonski was a volunteer at the Pittsfield Girls Club and had been Chairwoman of its Bizarre Bazaar. She was an avid golfer who also belonged to a pitch club. Her husband, Vincent Bazonski, whom she married Sept. 4, 1950, died in 1988. Mrs. Bazonski is survived by two sons, Edward T. Bazonski and his wife, Linda, of Southport, N.C., and Perry L. Bazonski and his wife, Patty, of Holliston; a daughter, Elaine M. Kalinowsky and her husband, Michael, of Pittsfield; a sister, Corrine Jones of Vero Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Joel, and Aaron Bazonski,, Patrick, Michael and Julia Kalinowsky, and Teresa Bazonski, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, William Duffy, Joseph Duffy, and James Duffy, and by a sister, Elaine Carmel. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mary Agnes Bazonski will be held Monday, July 9, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7p.m., at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Bazonski may be made to Dalton Ambulance and Rescue in care of the funeral home, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
