She was probably born in Ireland and came to America with her father. He was named as one of the executors of the will of his father-in-law, the other executor being David Bell, a brother-in-law of Edward beard. The farm on which Edward beard and his wife lived was conveyed to him by Samuel Lockhart, 17 May 1753, and lay on both sided of North River. (source #8)
