Mary Rose Becker

Mary Rose Demarse Becker formerly of Churubusco, NY passed into the hands of our Lord on Tuesday October 16, 2018. We celebrate 91 years of life and are thankful for the time we spent with Mary.

Mary married Walter Becker in 1951. She spent most of her life managing Becker’s Store in Long Lake. Mary joined the Secular Order of St. Francis in 2003. She was a talented quilter and loves the ladies of the Halfmoon Quilters and Norther Needles of Long Lake. She enjoyed gardening and her blueberry bushes.

Mary is predeceased by her parents Elmer and Lillian Decosse Demarse, her husband of 50 years Walter Becker, her brothers James, Hubert, Robert and Edward Demarse and sisters Ruth Cramer and Irene Danise. Mary is survived by her children Mark Becker (Linda), Carol Bruno (Nicholas) and Linda Dashnaw (Paul), her grandson Alexander Bruno, her brother John Demarse and sisters Rita Delmar, June Ronk, Betty DiNuzzo, Janet Cromwell and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may visit with her family at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford on Friday from 6-8 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday morning at 11 am at St. Henry’s Church, 1188 Main St., Long Lake NY. Interment will follow in the Long Lake Cemetery.
