Yes, there were two William Trogdon's.In 1695 in Anne Arrundel County Church Records, William Trogdon was born to Thomas and Mary Jones Trogdon (daughter of William JOnes).Thomas died by 1701 and Mary remarried Anthony Beddingfield.William JOnes named his grandson, William Trogdon in his will, which you have linked to.
Circa 1720 William Trogdon was born in Maryland. We have found no other children. In 1753 The Williams first appeared in Orange County, NC (now Randolph County). It was written that William the elder died in 1783, but we have found no documented proof of that. A memorial grave exists along Ramseur Lake (the original memorial by W.F. was followed when they created Ramseur Lake)
