Mary Briggs married Matthew Briggs II / 1705 - 1763, eldest of six children born to Deacon Matthew Briggs / 1676 - 1763 and Abigail (Burt) Briggs / 1676 - 1752. While the date of the marriage is undocumented, a marriage year of 1732 may be extrapolated based on the 1733 birth year of their eldest child. Matthew would have been 27 years old and Mary would have been 17 years old.

Mary Briggs / born March 31, 1752 in Dighton............Additional children attributed to Matthew and Mary (Pitts) Briggs, but undocumented in "Massachusetts Births & Christenings, 1639 - 1915", are -- 1.) Deliverence Briggs and 2.) Darius Briggs.

Details regarding the death and burial of Mary (Pitts) Briggs are undocumented. Sources posit death years of 1774 and 1787. While husband Matthew Briggs is documentably interred at Dighton Town Cemetery, no such documentation is extant for Mary (Pitts) Briggs.
