About Mary Hall

Father of Mary Brittun is William of Taunton (born abt 1679, deceased prior to 1732, possibly 1724) Mother is possibly Lydia Leonard (needs further research). Siblings include: William, Abiel, Ebenezer, Pendleton, Lidia, Sarah, Elezebeth, James & Abigail (all mentioned in Marcy’s will). Grandmother is Marcy (Mary?) Pendleton-Morey of Digton born abt 1653 (will dated 10/25/1732), Step fathers are Joesph Cross & Nicholas Morey, Great-Grandfather James Pendleton (mentioned in will – need confirmation but b abt. 1628 Eng – d. abt 1709 RI) , Great-Great-Grandfather Briant Pendleton (mentioned in will – need confirmation but b abt. 1599 Eng – d. abt 1680 NH). Marcy’s will mentions rights to lands in “the Province of Newhamshire” belonging to Briant Pendleton her grandfather. Will does not mention husband who fathered Marcy’s son William however could be William Sr. (1650-1680)

James Pendleton son of Bryan was early of Watertown, MA but removed to Portsmouth, NH where in 1671 he was one of the founders of the First Church. Subsequently he removed to Stonington CT and Westerly RI and was the ancestor of the Pendleton family in that section of New England
