Mary Briggs, daughter of Amos Briggs and Sarah (Paine) Briggs, was born on 1 May 1711.[1]

MARY BRIGGS, (Sarah Pain, Ralph), was born in Freetown on 1 May 1711, and died on 16 March 1786. She married at Little Compton RI on 27 September 1730, BENJAMIN CHACE, son of Benjamin and Mercy (Simmons) Chace, who was born in Freetown on 28 March 1704, and died in Westerly RI. The family had resided there from about 1742. ["CFG-Briggs%E2%80%9D[3]; CB I 28[4]; Reg. 87:108[5]; VR Freetown.[6]] Deeds and probate in both Bristol County and Westerly RI need to be checked.

i. Abiel, b. 20 Jan. 1732. See also his wife, Ruth Baggs 1732-. ii. Thomas, b. 18 Oct. 1733. Ch. at Reg. 87:108.[5] iii. Job, b. 27 Jan. 1739. Ch. at Reg. 87:109[5] iv. GEDCOM Note
I am not sure who her mother is. I found another entry on that shows her born on an earlier date and it shows her name as Baggs with the parents John Baggs and Rebecca Paine. This needs to be looked into.
