Mary Ann Clark

Mary Ann Ward was born on 11 September 1795 in Duplin County, North Carolina. Her parents were Luke and Rebecca Drew Ward. Mary Ann Ward married Gilbert Clark on 11 October 1811 in Smith County, Tennessee. The couple had eight children named Mary Ann, David, Rebecca D., Benjamin T., Thomas Carr, James Perry, John Luke, and Casandra (Cassie) Clark. The Clark family left Tennessee and migrated to the Arkansas Territory. They later crossed the Red River and moved on to Texas. They later moved on to Hopkins County, Texas. Mary Ann Ward Clark died on 4 February 1852 in Hopkins County, Texas. She died from pneumonia. She would have been fifty-six years of age. She was buried in the McFall Cemetery at Nelta, Hopkins County, Texas.
