INDIAN GIRL DIES SATURDAY; FUNERAL TO BE WEDNESDAY

Mary Clark, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clark, well-known Comanche Indians, who reside on Sunset addition, west of the city, died Saturday at 7:45 a.m., following a short illness.

Besides her parents, she is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Alberta Tah Coffer, Mona Clark, Roberta, Geneva, Teresa, and Nina; three brothers, Clifford and Page of Lawton and Louis, who is stationed with the U. S. Marines at San Pedro, Calif., and grandmother, Mrs. Clark of Faxon, and other relatives. She was a granddaughter of Chief Quanah Parker of the Comanches.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Comanche Mission, north of the city, with Rev. Robert Chaat, the pastor, conducting the services.

Burial will be made in the Comanche Indian Mission Cemetery under direction of Ritter's. The family has the sympathy of a large number of friends. (The Lawton Constitution, Sun., Dec. 23, 1934, p. 1).

FUNERAL HELD FOR 10-YEAR-OLD INDIAN

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Comanche Mission for Mary Clark, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clark, well-known Comanche Indian family who died Saturday morning following a brief illness.

The services were conducted by Rev. Robert Chaat, the pastor, and were largely attended and the flowal offerings were beautiful.

Many relatives from other communities were present, among whom were Louis Clark, a brother who is a member of the U. S. Marine Corps, Det. U. S. S. Texas, stationed at San Pedro, Calif., and a sister, Miss Geneva Jo Clark of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Page, also of Phoenix. Mrs. Page is an aunt of the deceased.
