Francis Reade son of Colonel George Reade and his wife Elizabeth Martian married first Jane Chisman and had Mary Reade who married Edward Davis of King and Queen County and Elizabeth Reade who married Paul Watlington Francis Reade married second Anne and had George Anne and Benjamin Reade.

Col. George Reade, born 25 Oct. 1608 in Linkenholt, Hampshire, England. He was the son of Robert and Mildred Windebank Reade. George came to America in 1636, and died 21 Nov 1674 in Yorktown, York Co., Virginia, USA. He married Elizabeth Martiau in 1641 in Yorktown. She was the daughter of Capt. Nicholas Martiau, who was born in France in 1591.

Among their children:

1. Frances Reade, married Jane Chrisman (note: Massey (4) has his grandmother's maiden name as his middle name)
2. Mildred Reade, born 1642 in Glaouster, Va, Died 1694. Married Col. Augustine Warner.

Their daughter Mildred Warner, married Lawrence Washington The son of Mildred Warner and Lawrence Washington, Augustine Washington, married Mary Ball. The son of Augustine Washington and Mary Ball was George Washington, 1st President of the United States

The daughter of Frances Reade and Jane Chrisman, Mary Reade, married Edward Davis.

The daughter of Mary Reade and Edward Davis, Rachel Davis, married John Thomas Medearis (3)
