Rawley Duncan is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A034971.
Rawley Duncan, presumed son of William Duncan and Ruth Rawley, was born about November 28 1723, probably Orange (vs Culpeper) Virginia.
Rawley married about 1743 to Mary (Roberts - Unproven -- from Stallard Family Bible - no other source for Mary's last name - Land Record only indicates wife "Mary".)
Mary is thought to be a sister of Sgt. Benjamin Roberts, married to Rawley's sister, Ann.
Children
Only 3 children have been proven for Rawley and Mary from existing Land/Court Records, (Washington, Russell, Culpeper). The Stallard Family compiled an extensive (sourced) document regarding the Stallard connection via Jael Duncan and Samuel Stallard.

Origins
Evidence:
He (John Roberts) probably also had a daughter named Mary who married Charles (not Rawley) Duncan.
In Ohio Co., KY, Charles Duncan made a claim on the estate of John Roberts "by right of descent." John Roberts was too young to have been an ancestor of Charles Duncan, and it only makes sense that Charles Duncan's wife Mary was a daughter of John Roberts. In addition Charles Duncan lived in the same neighborhood as Benjamin and Francis Roberts, who were also sons of John Roberts. However, since there is no positive proof yet of John Roberts having any daughter, she will not be added.
