Mary Elizabeth Frawley

Mary Frawley lived much of her adult life with her brother, actor William Frawley (Fred Mertz in I Love Lucy), including a long stretch at the Hollywood Knickerbocker Hotel in Los Angeles. Mary was, per biographers Rob Edelman and Audrey Kupferberg, "one of the few women he could tolerate for any length of time."

In October 1955, she returned home to Burlington, Iowa to visit for the first time in 20 years. In an interview with the local newspaper, she said she enjoyed attending live tapings of I Love Lucy and that it was nice to not see any smog in Burlington, which she and her brothers disliked living in Los Angeles.

At the time of her death, she was living at 1747 North Whitley Avenue in Hollywood. She had not married or had children.
