Not much is known about Mary Ann Pierce (Pearce), except that the Pearce family were Quakers who settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
1681--Edward Pierce part of a group of men granted land by William Penn.
The Pierce family of Chester County lived in Ercildoun, or Fallowfield, an important station of the Underground Railroad, and were known to be abolitionists and Underground Railroad agents during the early to mid 19th century.
