comments

Apparently Joseph Gore remarried after his wife Mary's death to Lucretia Tugwell.

Elizabeth Allison her sister was the wife of Henry Gore, her husband Joseph Gore's brother.

According to some trees, Mary Allison was the wife of Joseph Gore Junior & the mother of Joshua Gore; Phoebe Hughes was the wife of Joseph Gore Senior & the mother of joseph Jr.

However, according to Gore family researchers, Mary Allison married Joseph son of John, and there is no Joseph Jr. :

From http://www.wargs.com/political/gore.html "Ancestry of Al Gore" by William Addams Reitwiesner

"As shown above, Vice President Al Gore's immigrant Gore ancestor was John Goare of Middlesex County, Virginia, who arrived before 1677. If there was any connection between James Gore and John Goare, it would have to have been before they emigrated (separately) to North America, but their origins are (currently) unknown."
