About Mary Rose Habermann

◦Obituary:

Mrs. F. B. Habermann, whose death occured last week, Wednesday night was born in the town of Bristol, August 26, 1870, and has lived all her life in this locality. Her maiden name was Mary R. Stier, and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stier, both now deceased.

She was united in marriage to Frank B. Habermann, February 7, 1893, and they commenced house keeping in their home in this village. Ten children were born to their union, all living except two who died in infancy.

The surviving children are: George A., 29, of La Crosse; Mrs. H. Lawrenze, 27, of Senica, Kansas; Mrs. E. Friedel, 22, Adel, 20, Frank, 17, Rose, 14, Norbert, 12, and Clemens, 9, at home.

She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Weisensel, of East Bristol, Sister Melania, of Jerico, Wisconsin, and sister Maurizia, of Denville, New Jersey.

Funeral services were held Monday. The remains were taken to Sacred Hearts Catholic church, where a Solemn Requim High Mass was celebrated at 10 o'clock, Rev. Michail Stier acting as celebrant, and Rev. Leo Scheurell, deacon, both cousins of the deceased, and Rev. J. J. Salintin, subdeacon.

After the Mass Rev. J.. J. Salentin delivered a truly consoling sermon. The girls of the Commercial Course of which Rose was a member sang for the divine services. The Married Ladies Altar Society marched in body to the church. where they paid their last respects to their esteemed member. Professor Boebel and the Senior Class of Sun Prairie High School of which Frank is a member also, paid their respects by being present at the Mass. The remains were interred at Sacred Hearts cemetery. Rev. J. J. Salintin performing the burial rites.
