The 1850 Census shows Mary with her parents at St. George Parish, Accomack County, VA. She was shown as Mary Hart, age 12 in HH #277 headed by John Hart, age 38 year old laborer.

The 1860 Census shows Mary with her parents at Onancock, Accomack County, VA. She was shown as Mary Hart, age 22 in HH #582 headed by John Hart, 49 year old farmer & his wife Eletia, age 49.

The 1870 Census shows Mary with her parents at Locust Mount, Accomack County, VA. She was shown as Mary S. Hart, age 33 in HH #LM1003 headed by John Hart, a 60 year old farmer.

This is where this paper trail seems to come to an end for Mary S. Hart. I cannot help but wonder what happened to her.
