About Mary Jordan


Mary was born in 1704.[1] She was the daughter of Abraham Ricks and Mary Bellson.

She married in the Quaker Church, Chuckatuck, Virginia, 1 Feb 1723, Joseph Jordan, son of Joseph and Mary (Crow) Jordan of North Carolina.[2][3][4]

She passed away in 6 Dec 1767 (10th month = December) and was buried in Friends Burying Ground at Newbegun Creek Meeting House, Pasquotank, North Carolina.[5][6]

Mary wrote her Will[7] 2 Oct 1767 and it was proved Jan 1768. In it she gives the bulk of her estate to Friend John Duke Esq of Northampton County. In the event John died intestate or berfore her death the entire estate went to son Micajah.
