Mary Beth Josh

Mary Beth "Bointy" Josh, 69, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in Anadarko. Mary was born October 4, 1944 in Lawton, Oklahoma to William and Sallie (Hokeah) Bointy.

She attended school at Sedan to the 4th grade then attended Carnegie School and graduated with the class of 1963. Mary received her associates degree in Business Administration at Haskell in 1965. She started her career and moved to Washington DC and worked for the BIA.

In 1970, she moved back to Oklahoma and worked for HUD and Hearings and Appeals. From 1982 to 1987, she was employed with the Kiowa Tribe in Carnegie, 1988 - 1999 with the Indian Health Service where she retired to take care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were "the joy of her life".

Mary was an extremely proud mother and grandmother. She never missed their sporting events, plays, music programs and parties. She would follow them anywhere they went and they loved her as much also. She was very involved in their lives as well as in her church. She was a member of Cache Creek United Methodist Church and attended Grace Christian Fellowship Church. She was also a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe.

Mary is survived by her 2 daughters: M. Salli Josh of Anadarko and Alicia Foreman and husband, Matthew of Anadarko; 2 brothers: Joe Bill Bointy of Anadarko and Hess Bointy of Carnegie; 2 sisters: Donna Gardner of Wisconsin Rapids and Edna "Fuzzy" Bointy of Anadarko; grandchildren: Courtney Muro and husband, Manuel, Niki Josh and companion, Samuel Cozad, Coleman and DaKoda Josh, Jordon Foreman, Lexi Foreman and Eli Foreman; great grandchildren: Kristan Williams, Mila Beth Muro and Uriah Cozad, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers: Vincent, Jack, Wallace and Daniel Bointy and Archie Curley, and 2 sisters: Charlotte Doxtator and Billie Rose.

Prayer service will be at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Grace Christian Fellowship Church. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 3, 2014 at Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma with Rev. Ted Mercer, Rev. Alvin Deere and Rev. Donnie Ahhaity, officiating. A private family burial will follow at a later date. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
