Thomas Lambert Sr. has his son, Thomas Jr., baptized at the Second Church of Scituate in 1660.[1] Thomas Jr. & his presumed brother, John Lambert, are involved with deeds with Thomas Jr.'s in-laws, the Holmes, supporting the familial connection.[2]
It has not been discovered who this Thomas was & how he might have been related to the "Lombards" of Barnstable or the Lamberts of Essex County, if he was, in fact, related to them at all. He may be the Thomas Lambert from Boston, who had a son, Thomas born at Boston, the 6th of Nov., 1659. It would not be unreasonable for Thomas to have his son baptized in Scituate, nine months after his son's birth.[3]
It appears he either died at an early date or removed to another location, as he doesn't appear to be mentioned in the early records, with the exception of the above mentioned baptism record of his son & potentially in Savage's Dictionary.
