It would appear that her son John was born in NSW. <p></p> <p>Buried Row 19 Plot 8 Gunning Catholic Cemetery, Collector Road, Gunning, New SouthWales <p>Inscription reads: James Smith, husband of Elizabeth Smith, died 13.8.1876 aged 47, and Mary Skelly, mother of Elizabeth Smith, died 3.4.1857 aged 55 <p></p> <p>Mary Brown Skelly also arrived in 1835 in the first Bounty ship The Canton; she arrived before her husband but the Canton was placed in quarantine for approx 11 days
