MRS MARY E LENDRUM DIED LAST WEDNESDAY
Mrs Mary E Lendrum, wife of Dr Fred A Lendrum, pastor of the Methodist church, died Wednesday night at their home after an extended illness.
Mrs Lendrum had been a resident here three years and by her kindly, gracious manner had endeared herself in the hearts of all and they deeply sympathize with her family in their great loss. She was born in Middletown, NY, a daughter of Mr and Mrs Mose Crist. She was married July 8, 1903, in Middletown.
Following three years missionary service in Mexico, Dr and Mrs Lendrum resided in Bay City, Plymouth, Monroe and Farmington, where he held pastorates, before coming to Saline.
She was a member of te Methodist church and of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving besides the husband, are two sons, Dr Fred C Lendrum, Milwaukee, WI and James T Lendrum, Champaign, IL.
Funeral Services were held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon in the church, Dr Luther Butt, Ypsilanti, district Methodist superintendent and Dr John E Martin, Adrian, officiated. Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery.
