Rory McNeil “Torlach"
When this man came to this parish, he settled at Benacadie on the farm now owned by Hugh D. Farrell. He was married to Ann, daughter of Rory McNeil (John’s son), of Barra. Issue: — Peter, Paul, Jonathan, Larry, Jane, Sarah, Mary, and Catherine.
- All the sons left the parish early in life. Some of them settled in the colliery towns of Pictou County.
- Jane married Malcolm McLean (Gobha), of the Highlands.
* Mary was the second wife of Murdock McKenzie (Donald Hector). She died in Pictou where two of her sons live.
- One of the other daughters was married to a Mr. Carter, of St. Peters, and had a family.

Donald McKenzie - (Hector) and his descendants. His wife was Christie, daughter of Rory McNeil (Murdock).
Issue:— Donald, Finlay, Rory, James, Mary, Murdock, Sarah, Mary, Alexander and Donald.
Murdock settled first on a part of his father’s estate and married Mary, daughter of Donald McNeil, Mac Dhomhnaill, Christmas Island.
Issue:— Archie, Mary, Rory, Donald, John and Hector.
After the death of his first wife he settled at Benacadie and married Mary, daughter of Rory McNeil (Torlach).
Issue:— Rory, Mary, Donald and Christie
