About Mary Mackenzie

ALEXANDER and MARY MCKENZIE married on 23 November 1816 in the Parish of Ceres, Scotland. Alexander was from Ceres Parish and Mary from the Parish of Kilmany. They had at least six children all born in the Parish of Ceres - Jane in 1817, Alexander 1819, David 1822, Mary 1826, Janet 1829 and George 1833 - and lived at Chance Inn where Alexander was (in 1833) a labourer.
They moved to Perthshire and in 1841 they are at Dunbarney. Alexander died in Dunbarney in 1870 aged 79 and the death certificate states his father was ALEXR MCKENZIE but no mother's name is given. Mary McKenzie died in Dunbarney 1856 at the age of 60 and on the certificate her parents are given as RODERICK MACKENZIE and MARY MACKENZIE ms LOTHIAN.
