About Mary E Moritz
Daily Herald Telephone, Sat, 4/7/1956:
Mrs. Mary Estella Moritz, 68, 1011 W 14th St. died Friday in the Marian Arthur residence, 1416 W. 8th St. She had been ill for several months and was removed to the Arthur residence this week.
She was the widow of Frank Moritz, who died Feb 9 this year. She was a native of Brown County and had lived in Bloomington for the last 26 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a son, Balford Turpin, 714 Thornton Dr., a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Garrison, 731 E. Miller Drive; three brothers, William Purtlebaugh, New Paris, Charles Purtlebaugh, Flat Rock, and Herschel Purtlebaugh, Scipio; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Johnson of Columbus and Mrs. Bertha Petro of Scipio; 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the 11th Street Pentecostal Church. Rev. Orville Frame will officiate and burial will be in Valhalla Park.
Pallbearers will include Earl Purtlebaugh, Kenneth Garrison, Dewey Garrison and Charles Sturgeon.
Flowerbearers will be Patricia Garrison, Elizabeth Judith and Jacqueline Turpin, Phyllis Arthur and Shirley Dugan.
The body will be removed from the Day Funeral Home to the Arthur residence, 1416 W. 8th St., where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
