About Mary Morrison (Graham)
She was the daughter of Gen. Joseph Graham, a soldier of the war for independence and of the war of 1812, and a sister of William Alexander Graham, U. S. senator, governor of North Carolina, secretary of the navy under President Fillmore, and candidate for the vice-presidency of the United States on the Whig ticket with Gen. Scott.
