1635- Immigrated via ship "Defense" and settled in Roxbury, MA.
Mary (Lott) Mott's mother Sarah (born in Cambridge 1604) must have been among the group of English people who moved to Holland for religious reasons; she married Mary's father Engelbert Lott at Ruinenvold, Drenthe in about 1625. However, Engelbert died in 1631 while still a young man, before his daughter was born, and it appears that Sarah must have gone home to England to have her baby. At some point after that they emigrated to New England.

Notes:
Mary Lott was one of the children of Sarah Jennings
and Englebret Lott. Sarah I believe was born in
Cambridge England and our research on Englebret
was that he was born in Drenthe, Netherlands.
Englebret died, Sarah remarried to an Adam Mott,
He and she with his children and her children
left in 1635 on the ship Defence for America landing
in what is now Mass. and eventually went to what
is now Rhode Island.
Mary Lott married her step brother Adam Mott , son
of Adam by a previous marriage.
