Mary Jane was born in Devonport, Stoke Dameral, Plymouth, England. At 17 years of age she left her widowed mother to travel to Salt Lake, Utah, as a convert to the Mormon faith. Upon Arrival she became a plural wife to the much older John Pack, the missionary her mother had entertained during his mission to the Isle of Jersey. Together they had 11 children. Mary Jane ran one of the family farms in Bountiful, along with the help from another of John's plural wives. Mary Jane's biography is available for viewing on the Pack Family web site.
