He married Mary "Molly" Woodard Abt. 1778 in (Greene Co., NC?), daughter of Thomas Woodard and Lydia Langston. She was born 1754 in Rich Square, Northampton, NC3, and died Aft. 1791 in Wayne Co., Near Mt Olive, NC.
