Mary H. Roby

Mary H. Roby, 91, of MonPointe, Morgantown, formerly of Newburg, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, in Morgantown. She was born July 12, 1910, in Dent, Preston County, daughter of the late John Clarence and Alcinda Freeman Shroyer. She was a homemaker, a cook at Newburg Elementary School and Newburg High School, and was a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Gleaners Sunday School class.

She is survived by three daughters and spouses, Helen Bragg, of Kingwood, Sue R. and Don Pell, of Tucson, Ariz., and Betty and Jack Kreiling, of Cresaptown, Md.; a son and spouse, Richard R. and Carol Roby, of Secretary, Md.; nine grandchildren, Denzil C. "Danny" Feather, and Debra L. Uphold, both of Kingwood, and whom she raised, Kim Feiglstok, Kevin, Dave and Doug Pell, Donna Eldridge, Karen Feather and Eric Roby; 16 great-grandchildren, Terry and Lyn Uphold, Katie, Kelly, Melissa Feiglstok, Callie, Caitlin, Caleb, Jessica, Jennifer, Nicole, Christopher, Matthew, and Michael Pell, Alyssa, and Logan Eldridge; three great-great-grandchildren, Dalton, Damian, and Shyanna Uphold; five stepgrandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James William Roby; and two sisters, Lola V. Schooley, and Wilda M. Bishop. Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home, Kingwood, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, until the 11 a.m. service
