Mary Catherine Scott

Mrs. Mary C. Scott, 88, of W. William street died at Decatur and Macon county hospital at 6:45 am today after a short illness. Death was caused by complications.
A daughter of David and Minerva Blalock, she was born Nov. 18, 1853, near Mt. Zion. A 20 year resident of Decatur, she was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian church.
She leaves her husband, four children, Mrs. Virgie Hughes of Minneapolis, Mrs. Edna Wright of Morton, Ill, Miss Mignon Scott of Chicago, and J. Scott of Decatur, five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ella Ritter of Decatur, one son, Lee Scott, preceded her in death.
