"Great-granddaughter of Col John Spalding and Wealthy Ann Gore, his wife. He was a soldier in the Revolution"

"Great-great-granddaughter of Simon Spalding, who served as captain during the entire Revolution"

"Also descendant of Obahiah Gore, who served as lieutenant during the Revolution"
