Henry Timberlake. immigrant ancestor, resided in Newport, Rhode Island. He married Mary , who died September 10, 1705. He was corporal in 1644 and commissioner in 1663. He died before February 12, 1697, when his widow Mary sold to her son-in-law one hundred and twelve acres of land in Newport. Her estate was valued at ninety-two pounds at the inventory July 3, 1706.

Children:

  • 1. William, died 1678; married Mary -———; resided in Newport, and Boston; admitted freeman 1668; administration granted to widow August 25, 1685; left a daughter.
  • 2. Henry, mentioned below.
  • 3. Joseph, resided at Portsmouth and Little Compton, Rhode Island; married Mary Cory, died March 22, 1718, widow of William Cory, daughter of Ralph and Joan Earle; a cordwainer; no issue.
  • 4. John, died after 1706; had children Mary, Elizabeth and Hannah.
  • 5. Elizabeth, married December 24, 1670, John Coggeshall, born February 12, 1650, died November 9, 1706, son of John and Elizabeth (Baulstone) Coggeshall; fourteen children.
  • 6. Hannah, born 1656, died May 3, 1713; married, 1675, at Little Compton, Rhode Island, John Woodman, who died April 24, 1713: eight children.
