Philip had four children by his first wife, Mary:

  1. Ebenezer born on October 21, 1688. More information about him is unavailable and there was no mention of either him or his heirs in his father's will.[7]
  2. Ester, of Philip and Mary, Oct. 21, 1688 in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts[7][8][9] Esther was baptised on July 4, 1697 She married Mr Avery and her father-in-law's will had: Esther living in 1749 and records show that on May 16, 1709 Esther Walker married Isaac Averill. The question is: "Was the Esther Walker baptized in 1697 also the Esther Walker born as a twin of Ebenezer and born in 1688? Possibly the 1697 baptism was for a 9 year old girl![4][7]
