My mother, Mary Jerusha (Wood) Walker, daughter of William Wood and Lucy Babcock, was born in San Bernardino, California, 14 March 1853. She and my father, Hyrum Alonzo Walker, born 2 March 1851 son of John Walker and Elizabeth Walmsley, were married 17 Oct 1870 in the Salt Lake City Endowment House by Daniel H. Wells. Mother died 15 July 1888 at Minersville, Beaver Utah. Father died 30 April 1937. They had the privilege of bringing seven children to this world. Mary Alice born 15 May 1872. She married Joseph W. Eyre, Hyrum Alonzo born 2 November. 1874, died 3 Jan 1875. Amy born 28 Nov. 1875, she married Henry Friend Baker. William born and died 15 June 1878. Ezra born 9 July 1879 died 11 Feb 1950, married Emma Schwob. Lucy Elizabeth born 17 Dec. 1882 married William Josiah Burns. Caroline born 15 May 1886, died 13 May 1937, married John Levi Anderson.
Their first home in Minersville located on 210 E. Main, was a small two room brick building where they lived about ten years. From there they moved to 210 So. 2nd West. This home was a two room adobe building. Later a several room brick home was built. After moving into this unfinished home, grandmother Corbridge lived in the old home where she spent the remainder of her days.
