Mary E. Watson
Mrs. Mary E. Watson, 80, of Lakewood, Calif., formerly of Ogden, died Sunday evening in Long Beach, Calif., of natural causes. Mrs. Watson was born June 9, 1880, in Heber City, Utah, a daughter of Hyrum Smith and Jane H. Spriggs Neibaur. She had resided in Ogden before moving to Lakewood one year ago. On March 29, 1923, she was married to Henry D. Watson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1956. She was a member of the LDS Church ans was former member of the Ogden Tabernacle Choir. She had been active in the religion class, Primary and Relief Society. In 1946 she and her husband served a mission in Texas. Surviving are one son, Ross D. Watson, Moscow, Idaho; one daughter, Mrs. William (Laura) Kern, Lakewood Calif.; 13 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Vernon (Jane) Cobabe, Redondo Beach, Calif. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. In Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Asael B. Griffiths of the Washington Terrace Seventh Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 7 nto 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
