Mary Butterfield was born circa 1670, the daughter of jonathan Butterfield and and Mary Dixon of Chelmsford

On March 13, 1688/9, she married Abraham Watson, son of John Watson and Rebecca Errington of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Their children included:

Isaac, born March 3, 1689[7], who married Anna, then married Abiel Angier August 27, 1725; and who died Feb 27, 1741[6] [5]
Abraham, baptized Feb 21, 1696/7[8], who married Mary Unknown and then Mary (Grant) Hill Butterfield, widow of Abraham Hill Jr, widow of John Butterfield[6]

William, born May 8, 1698[10]

Abraham Watson died March 23, 1705/6 at the age of 44[15].

Mary (Butterfield) Watson Whitemore died Nov. 4, 1730 in Cambridge, and is buried in the Old Burying Ground in Cambridge. Her gravestone reads: Here lyes ye Body of Mrs. Mary Whitmore, Wife to Mr. Samuel Whitmore (of Lexington) & formerly Wife to Mr. Abraham Watson who Died Novbr. 14th, 1730 in ye 61st Year of Her Age.
