Lucy is believed to be the daughter of Mathew Hobson, b. 1688 in Henrico Co. and who married Agnes Gillam abt. 1712. His father was William Hobson, b. 1651. James Allen was probably the son of Edmund Allen. My 4GGrandfather, Matthew Hobson, is believed to be the orphan who asked that James Allen be appointed his guardian in 1767.
