(f/g) Mathias Saint John, Jr Birth: 1628, England Death: Dec., 1728 Norwalk Fairfield County Connecticut, USA

The son of my ancestors, MATHIAS & MARY (TINKER) SAINT JOHN, he was baptized on June 10, 1633 at St. Nicholas Cole Abby in London, England. He married Elizabeth Seeley and they settled in Norwalk in the Colony of Conn.

In 1673, Norwalk records show that the estate of Mathias Sension, Jr. was worth 145 pounds and that they were the parents of seven children. At a town meeting on December 17, 1678, he was chosen to keep an "ordinary" (Inn) at his residence for "entertayning strangers". He was paid 1 pound, 2 shillings and 6 pence for beating the drum on December 30, 1701.
