He married Elizabeth Gibbons before 1849 and they had ten children that I know of. William, Thomas,Lydia, Charles, Charles, John, Mary A., Matthew, Catherine and Samuel. He was a coal miner most of his life. Many of his children emigrated to the US or Australia. Matthew was my great great grandfather.
