Mathieu Neven
Mathieu Neven (* 1796 in Maastricht, † 1878 in Cologne) was a Dutch-German entrepreneurs.
He is considered the founder of the entrepreneur family Neven DuMont.
Mathieu Neven moved in the 1820s to Cologne, where he founded a color and mining products factory. In the 1840s he built an additional white lead plant fand ten years later a metal putty factory.
Neven was a member of the citizens party at Neumarkt on the occasion of the visit to the king in 1842
