About Maurice Combs
Maurice was born as Clyde Maurice and later had his name changed to Maurice. His nickname was Ned and he went by that. He fought in WW2 in the Aleutian Islands with General Buckner and was wounded in one of the battles of the Islands. He moved to Anderson, Indiana in 1952 with his wife and four children and worked for Howe Fire Apparatus building fire trucks until he died in 1974.
